Design & Management

The following are examples of websites that I have designed — either alone or alongside a team of web developers — and managed. Most of the websites were built on WordPress, though I have dabbled in a number of different content management systems. All images can be clicked for a larger view.

The Heiltsuk Language and Culture Mobilization Partnership website was built to host information about the project, whose goal is to create new opportunities for speaking, writing and reading the Heiltsuk language by expanding and deepening existing community language revitalization and cultural documentation in a digital environment. Language learning materials and tools are also hosted on the website, designed using WordPress plugins and custom code.

Carlson Body Shop Supply was one of four auto body supply companies whose websites I designed alongside a development team, and then managed for a number of years. Alongside having continuously updated specials and company offers, I worked with the web devs to build a custom, searchable product line database within the website for both internal and external use.

The Heiltsuk Cultural Education Centre website was designed as a revision of their original HTML website, built in the early 2000s. The Centre wanted to maintain the old look and feel, with the black and red colour scheme alongside the left-hand navigation bar. I pulled the content from the static HTML and redesigned a fully functioning, updated version of the site within WordPress.

A good example of a simple portfolio page, makeup artist Sarah Yewchuk needed a website to display her work and this simple, three page site was the perfect digital business card.

The Kaska language website was built to host Kaska language tools and lessons, one of which you can see above. Interactive, educational pages involve tabbed-content with conversations, sentence practice and sound pronunciation lessons in Kaska.

PBE was one of four auto body supply companies whose websites I designed alongside a development team, and then managed for a number of years. Alongside having continuously updated specials and company offers, I worked with the web devs to build a custom, searchable product line database within the website for both internal and external use.

Residences of Southwind were a series of town homes for a sale in Kelowna, British Columbia. During construction, the developer wanted a website where potential buyers could browse amenities, floor plans and other details of their potential new home.
